Cookie policy

This page explains how MOT Atlas uses cookies and similar technologies. Last updated 1 September 2026.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your browser on later requests, for example to keep you signed in or to remember a preference.

Cookies we use

This site keeps the number of cookies to a minimum. The cookies used are:

  • Essential session cookie (ATLASSESSID) – set only when you submit the contact form or sign in to the admin area. It carries a security token so that forms cannot be forged from another site. It expires when you close your browser.
  • Admin session cookie (ATLASSESSID) – used after an administrator signs in, to keep them signed in between pages. It is removed when the administrator signs out or after a period of inactivity.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third party analytics on this site. No cookie is used to build a profile of you or to follow you across other websites.

Similar technologies

The site does not use local storage or device fingerprinting to identify visitors. Server logs record standard technical information such as the requested page and the time of the request, which is used only to keep the service running and secure.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie will stop the contact form and the admin sign in from working, because the security token cannot be stored.

Changes to this policy

If the cookies used here change, this page will be updated and the date at the top of the page will change with it.
